Privacy and site storage

What this website stores in your browser, and who receives requests when you use it.

Updated 25 October 2026

Using the site

The current site does not ask you to create a Playoff Pulse account, enter payment information or complete a subscription checkout. This release does not include a third-party advertising or analytics script. Hosting services may still process requests and operational information independently of the application code.

Page addresses can include a selected league or match, and your browser may keep them in its history. Do not put private information or account credentials in a page address or a public correction report.

Your saved theme

Choosing light or dark mode saves a value named pp-theme in your browser's local storage. It lets later visits use the same appearance. With no saved choice, the site follows your system's light or dark preference. The application does not send that saved theme to an advertising service.

You can remove the saved choice by clearing this site's storage in your browser. Blocking storage does not prevent reading the site; an appearance change may then last only for the current page. Local storage is separate from a cookie, even though both can retain browser information.

Hosting and sports data requests

The primary website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with a GitHub Pages mirror. Those providers receive the network information needed to serve a request, which can include an IP address, browser information and the requested path. Their own privacy notices describe their processing: Cloudflare and GitHub.

In the default free Live Cricket mode, your browser also requests sports data directly from SportScore. The provider can receive network information associated with that request. The application's free adapter omits cookie credentials and the referring page header. That does not make the network request anonymous to the receiving server. See SportScore for its service and notices.

If the site uses its optional data service, your browser requests that service instead. Source processing and service operation are distinct from the page's saved theme. This notice does not claim control over a third party's logs or retention practices.

External links and contact

Source links, the code repository and public issue links take you to other websites. Those services apply their own privacy notices and account requirements. A GitHub issue is publicly visible; it is suitable for general project questions and factual corrections, not payment details or other sensitive information.

GitHub issues are public. Please keep personal information, payment details and account credentials out of public messages.

Advertising and future changes

Display advertising is not active in this release. If advertising or audience measurement is introduced, this notice and the applicable choices must be updated before those services are activated. An advertising account identifier alone is not a consent choice and does not establish that a site has been approved to serve ads.

Personalized advertising can involve additional cookies, vendors and regional consent requirements. The current site's theme control is not an advertising-consent mechanism. This page describes the current implementation; it does not promise universal legal compliance or substitute for the notices of a third-party service.
